Mechanical Design Engineer M/F

Akkodis France's Consulting & Solutions service line is strengthening its regional teams and is recruiting a Mechanical Design Engineer M/F on a permanent contract (CDI) in Bordeaux. This position is set within a demanding industrial context, within the aeronautics and space sector, where you will be responsible for designing and optimizing innovative mechanical structures. You will intervene across the entire product development cycle, from design to technical validation.

Main responsibilities:

Design and develop mechanical parts and assemblies according to technical specifications and performance requirements.

Develop detailed drawings and 3D models using CATIA, SolidWorks, Siemens NX or equivalent, and ensure CAD configuration management.

Perform feasibility studies, functional analyses, and lead choices regarding architecture, integration, and materials.

Collaborate with production teams, thermal and structural analysts, and materials engineers to ensure compliance with manufacturing and environmental constraints.

Perform strength calculations, mechanical validations, and tests on prototypes.

Participate in cost optimization, continuous product improvement, and technological monitoring.

Write technical documentation, ensure mass balance monitoring, and contribute to design reviews.

Working environment:

You will operate in a high-tech industrial environment, within multidisciplinary teams dedicated to innovation in aeronautics and space. The missions revolve around co-engineering, subsystem integration, and collaborative technical data management (PLM). You will be required to interact with different disciplines (mission analysis, propulsion, avionics, GNC, systems) and contribute to the improvement of design tools and processes.

Candidate Profile

With an engineering degree or equivalent in mechanics, mechanical engineering, or industrial design, you have initial experience or a proven track record in mechanical design, ideally in the aeronautics, space, or industrial sector. You master CAD software (CATIA, SolidWorks, Siemens NX) and have strong skills in structural calculations, project management, functional analysis, and industrial regulations. Knowledge of numerical simulation tools (finite elements, CFD) and technical data management (PLM) is appreciated. Your ability to work in a team, communicate effectively, and innovate will be assets for success in this position.
