Akkodis France's Consulting & Solutions service line is strengthening its teams in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region and is recruiting a Senior Data Engineer M/F on a permanent contract (CDI) in Bordeaux. This position is intended for experienced professionals wishing to design, develop, and operate secure, scalable, and observable data foundations. You will be a technical referent and guarantor of the robustness of flows and source datasets, bringing a software engineering posture applied to data.

Main responsibilities:

  • Design, industrialize, and maintain robust ELT pipelines (batch, incremental, CDC) on Snowflake and Airflow, following the medallion pattern.
  • Ensure the integration and quality of data from various sources into a centralized environment.
  • Apply engineering standards (Git, CI/CD, testing, packaging) and guarantee the run of flows (atomic DAGs, idempotence, backfills, SLA/incident management).
  • Automate quality controls with Soda and document the data ecosystem in Data Galaxy (ownership, lineage, glossary, data contracts).
  • Structure data for analytical layers (Tableau), Data Science (Dataiku), and optimize cloud costs (FinOps Snowflake).
  • Implement governance, security, and compliance solutions (compliance with GDPR standards, traceability, Group standards).
  • Participate in defining long-term data management strategies and technical mentoring of teams.

Working environment:

You will operate in an advanced technical context, oriented towards cloud and data, using a modern stack: Snowflake, Airflow, Soda, Data Galaxy, Tableau, Dataiku, Python, advanced SQL, Git, CI/CD. The DataOps and FinOps approach is prioritized, with a product/run culture and a strong emphasis on code quality and data governance. You will interact with multidisciplinary teams (data science, analytics, IT) and will be involved in mentoring and defining technical standards.

Candidate profile

A graduate with a Master's degree or equivalent in computer science, data engineering, or data science, you have a minimum of 5 years of experience in data engineering within a cloud and Big Data environment. Expert mastery of Snowflake is required, as well as in-depth knowledge of ETL tools, relational and NoSQL databases, Python scripting and advanced SQL, and versioning tools (Git, CI/CD). You have a product/run culture, a sensitivity to FinOps and Data quality by design, and are comfortable with security and compliance standards (GDPR). Technical leadership, a pragmatic spirit, mentoring, and high standards for code quality are expected. Experience in project management, Agile/DevOps methodologies, and cloud cost optimization would be an asset.
