Supplier Quality Auditor

We are looking for an experienced Supplier Quality Auditor who wants to contribute to developing and quality assuring a global supplier base within the automotive industry.

About the role In this role, you will work with supplier assessments, audits, and risk analyses to identify areas for improvement and ensure that suppliers meet high requirements regarding quality, sustainability, and responsible business practices. You will become part of an international team with close cross-functional and geographical market collaboration, the opportunity to influence strategic supplier decisions, and a strong focus on continuous improvement. The role involves regular travel, up to 3–4 trips per month during certain periods.

Tasks

Conduct audits and evaluations of existing and potential suppliers, primarily through on-site visits. Identify risks, deviations, and areas for improvement within suppliers' processes, working methods, and sustainability work. Use established audit tools and models to assess suppliers' capability, performance, and development potential. Collaborate with internal quality functions and suppliers to develop and follow up on risk-reducing action plans. Present audit results, analyses, and recommendations to relevant stakeholders as a basis for supplier and procurement decisions. Support and develop audit competence within the organization through knowledge exchange, calibration, and dissemination of best practice. Contribute to the further development of audit tools, harmonize processes, and drive continuous improvements within the organization.

Qualifications

University degree in engineering, or alternatively at least five years of relevant technical experience. Solid experience in auditing and good knowledge of ISO 19011. Experience with various production processes and industrial operations. Good understanding of risk assessment, problem-solving, and systematic improvement work. Knowledge of sustainability issues and responsible supply chains. Very good knowledge of English, both spoken and written. SA8000 certification is a merit.

You have a preventive approach and can independently identify risks, prioritize the right actions, and drive problem-solving forward. You are communicative and find it easy to build trusting relationships with various stakeholders, even in international and cross-cultural contexts. You thrive on taking responsibility, sharing your knowledge, and collaborating with others to achieve common goals.
