Customer Details

For our renowned customer from the maritime defense industry, we are looking for a qualified reinforcement as Technical Buyer - Shipbuilding & Marine (m/f/d) at the Wedel location at the earliest possible date.

You have commercial vocational training or a comparable qualification, bring at least five years of professional experience in technical industrial purchasing, and are experienced in collaborating and negotiating with international suppliers. You work in a structured, solution-oriented manner and move confidently at the interfaces between purchasing, production, development, and quality. If so, we look forward to your application.

Job Description

• You perform cross-site operative purchasing activities for your assigned product groups and ensure the corresponding documentation
• You ensure material availability within your product groups
• You check inquiry documents such as technical specifications and drawings for completeness
• You independently conduct negotiations with suppliers regarding prices, deadlines, and other operative purchasing topics
• You coordinate closely with internal interfaces such as production, development, and quality
• You maintain operative transaction and master data in the relevant systems and tools
• You support strategic purchasing in the implementation of product group strategies
• You examine and clarify complex differences and deviations in the procurement process
• You participate in special projects for the further development and optimization of purchasing

Profile

• You have completed subject-specific, preferably commercial, vocational training
• You bring at least 5 years of professional experience in technical industrial purchasing
• You have experience in an international purchasing and supplier environment
• You possess strong negotiation skills as well as advanced technical knowledge
• You have advanced knowledge in SAP and MS Office
• You work independently, structured, process-oriented, and solution-oriented
• You convince through strong communication skills, initiative, and teamwork
• You have proficient English skills in speaking and writing
