IT Helpdesk Supervisor

The Help Desk Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based in Cairo, Egypt, responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the IT help desk. This role includes supervising help desk staff, assigning and prioritizing support tickets, and ensuring timely resolution of technical issues for internal users. The supervisor monitors service performance, implements support procedures, and escalates complex problems to appropriate technical teams when needed. Day-to-day tasks also involve coaching team members, maintaining documentation and knowledge bases, preparing reports on help desk metrics, and collaborating with other departments to improve user experience and service quality.

Strong technical support and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network-related issues.

Solid Help Desk/Service Desk experience, including managing ticketing systems and coordinating first- and second-line technical support.

Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to interact effectively with users and provide clear, professional, and timely assistance.

Previous experience leading or supervising an IT Support/Help Desk team is highly preferred.

Strong organizational and time-management skills, with excellent attention to detail and a strong focus on service quality.

Familiarity with ITIL practices or other IT service management frameworks is an advantage.

Relevant technical certifications, such as CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, ITIL, or equivalent, are preferred.

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is preferred.

Ability to work on-site in Cairo, Egypt, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced business environment.

Strong problem-solving, leadership, and decision-making skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple support requests effectively.
