Trainee/Junior QA Engineer

We are looking for a new player for the Video Devices department for the position of Trainee/Junior QA Engineer. The Video Devices department implements the full cycle of creating Ajax video products — from concept to launch into mass production. We combine expertise in mechanics, Hardware, Image Quality, optics, Embedded-systems, and networking. Our goal is to create technologically complex and competitive devices that combine connection stability, high image quality, and production scalability.
Required knowledge and skills: Technical education or studies in the fields of electronics, radio engineering, embedded-systems, computer engineering, or related specialties.
Basic understanding of the development and testing lifecycle of devices.
Understanding the basics of testing theory (types of testing, test documentation, defect lifecycle).
Basic knowledge of hardware interfaces UART, SPI, I2C, GPIO.
Basic understanding of electronics (signals, simple electrical circuits, RC-circuits).
Knowledge of the basics of working with the Linux console or a desire to master it quickly.
English at the level of reading technical documentation.
Attention to detail, analytical thinking, and a desire to understand how devices work.
Readiness to learn and work with new testing tools.
Will be a plus: Practical experience from educational, personal, or pet-projects.
Experience working with Arduino, Raspberry Pi, ESP32, or other embedded platforms.
Basic skills in working with an oscilloscope or logic analyzer.
Understanding of the embedded device development process.
Knowledge of the basics of Python, Bash, or another programming language.
Interest in video / streaming / encoding systems.
Tasks: Performing functional testing of embedded / hardware devices under the guidance of experienced engineers.
Verifying device operation according to test scenarios.
Log analysis and basic work with the Linux console.
Participation in verifying the operation of hardware interfaces (UART, SPI, I2C, GPIO).
Assisting in defect localization and documentation.
Creating and updating test documentation (test cases, checklists, scenarios).
Conducting exploratory testing during the development of new features.
Close cooperation with QA, Hardware, and Embedded Engineers.
