Middle Device QA Engineer

We are looking for a new player for the Device unit in the position of Middle QA Engineer The Device unit develops Ajax security and automation devices — from concept to certification. The team brings together Embedded, Hardware, and Mechanical engineers who work on creating energy-efficient solutions based on modern microcontrollers. The division focuses on manufacturing scalability (DFM) and radio communication stability, transforming complex engineering challenges into a mass-market product of a global level.

Required knowledge and skills: Experience in testing hardware/embedded devices;

Understanding of the hardware release cycle (PoC-EVT-DVT-PVT);

Technical background/education (electronics, radio engineering, embedded, or related fields);

Understanding of device testing theory;

Practical experience working with UART, SPI, I2C, GPIO;

Understanding of basic electronics (RC-filter, signals, basic circuits);

Experience working with an oscilloscope and logic analyzer;

Knowledge of Linux console and commands (tail, grep, sort, sysfs, udev, logcat);

English at the level of reading technical documentation;

Strong analytical skills and the ability to reproduce complex bugs.

Will be a plus: Experience working with video / streaming / encoding systems;

Experience in device test automation.

Tasks: Performing the full testing cycle of embedded / hardware devices in the Video direction;

Analyzing device system behavior through logs and Linux console tools;

Checking and validating the operation of hardware interfaces (UART, SPI, I2C, GPIO);

Capturing and analyzing signals using a logic analyzer and oscilloscope;

Localization of defects at the level of firmware, drivers, interfaces, and component interaction;

Development and maintenance of test documentation (test cases, checklists, usage scenarios);

Conducting exploratory and experimental testing;

Close interaction with hardware engineers.
