Hardware Engineer (Fibra)

Ajax Systems — an international technology company and the largest manufacturer of security systems in Europe.

We are looking for a new player for the Fibra division in the role of Hardware Engineer.

The Fibra division develops wired security and automation devices for protecting large commercial objects. The team implements a full R&D cycle — from creating control panels to peripheral sensors, using STM 8/32 and Embedded C. Thanks to the joint work of Embedded, Hardware, Mechanical, and Optical engineers, the division scales the Ajax product line, regularly releasing new devices to solve complex Enterprise business tasks.

Requirements: Circuit design of devices: calculation of circuit elements, conducting simulations of device operation.

PCB design in Altium Designer.

Device design taking certification requirements (LVD, EMC) into account.

Device design taking mass production requirements into account.

Debugging prototypes, searching for and eliminating problems in devices.

Preparation of documentation for PCB manufacturing and their assemblies.

Working with version control systems (git, svn).

English proficiency level sufficient for free reading of supporting documentation.

Will be a plus: Experience in power electronics design (230 VAC).

Experience in designing radio paths of various frequencies (from 400Mhz to 6Ghz).

Optimization of device costs (unification of the component base, searching for alternative components).

Experience working with supply chain at large production volumes (10000+/month).

Maintenance of component libraries.

Experience using LTSpice.

Use of git.

Creation of embedded software for modern platforms (STM32, etc.), sufficient for debugging one's own development.

Responsibilities: Develop circuit solutions and printed circuit boards for new Ajax devices.

Work on improving existing Ajax devices.

Select component replacements, with a description of the tests required for this.

Perform primary verification and debugging of prototypes (bring up).

Bring projects to mass production (10000+/month).
