Banking & Finance Associate

AJ Chambers are recruiting for a highly motivated and experienced Banking & Finance Solicitor to join a exciting growing legal practice in the heart of London, advising both lender and borrower clients across a broad range of transactions, including corporate lending, acquisition finance.

Responsibilities:

• Demonstrates a clear understanding of the responsibilities and professional duties of a solicitor and consistently works in accordance with the firm’s policies, procedures and standards.
• Understands the importance of building, maintaining and strengthening relationships with clients and referrers, while developing a strong understanding of their commercial objectives and expectations.
• Demonstrates a genuine commitment to developing their legal career, actively seeking opportunities to broaden their experience, strengthen their technical expertise and contribute to the continued success of the firm.
• Under appropriate supervision, provides accurate, practical and commercially focused legal advice to clients and colleagues, taking into account the wider commercial context and objectives of each matter.
• Establishes a strong reputation among colleagues as a dependable and capable solicitor who approaches matters carefully, takes ownership of their work and can be relied upon to deliver to a high standard.
• Collaborative team member: Builds strong and effective working relationships with colleagues within the immediate team and across the wider firm, contributing positively to a supportive and collaborative working environment.

Requirements:

• Qualified Solicitor in England and Wales with between 2-3 PQE relevant experience in general banking and finance in private practice.
• Strong academics at university and in the SQE
• Experience in acting for overseas clients and on cross-border transactions
