About the role

We are looking for a Customer Project Technical Engineer to join our Electrical Distribution Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing customer project orders from initiation to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with customer requirements and technical specifications.

Responsibilities

Study and analyze customer specifications and project requirements.

Review and validate technical offers.

Lead the design process through coordination with factories, project managers, and customer representatives.

Verify and validate all factory submittals.

Experience with one or more electrical distribution packages, such as HV switchgears, MV switchgears, LV switchgears, UPS, transformers, variable speed drives, soft starters, etc.

Strong understanding of electrical distribution systems and engineering documentation.

Good knowledge of MV/LV switchgear design principles, control circuits, protection schemes, and interlocking philosophies.

Ability to review and validate protection relay settings, metering requirements, CT/VT selection, and auxiliary power supply arrangements.

Familiarity with international electrical standards and practices, such as IEC standards for switchgear, transformers, protection, testing, and documentation.

Hands-on experience preparing or reviewing technical submittals, compliance statements, bill of materials, wiring diagrams, and test procedures.

Understanding of project engineering workflows, including design review cycles, technical clarification handling, manufacturing coordination, FAT support, and site technical support.

Prepare, review, and validate project technical documentation to ensure compliance with customer requirements, applicable standards, and project specifications, including:

Single Line Diagrams (SLDs)

General Arrangement (GA) drawings

Cable entry drawings

Civil instruction drawings and requirements

Nameplate details and marking requirements

Schematic diagrams

Logic diagrams

Interconnection and terminal block diagrams

Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs)

Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) procedures

Commissioning spare parts lists

Painting specifications and instructions

Packing specifications and instructions

Perform required calculations and documentation to ensure design compliance.

Attend and support Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT).

Participate in technical meetings throughout the project lifecycle.

Provide technical support to site operation teams.

Ensure project deliverables meet customer requirements and company standards.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Power Engineering.

5+ years of relevant experience in electrical distribution, project engineering, or a related field.

Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

Team player with the ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment.

Strong learning agility and adaptability.

Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
