Working Student in System Engineering to support Management and Teams (d/m/w)

Location: Hamburg Start: May 2025 Duration: 12 months
In the System Engineering “System General” area, we are looking for a dedicated working student to support management and individual teams with various operational, organizational, or planning tasks. Our area covers many cross-sectional topics of System Engineering, such as system safety analyses, configuration management, and the definition of qualification requirements based on environmental and installation conditions. Through these diverse tasks, which we perform for all aircraft programs, we work together with many other development areas of Airbus Engineering, which may be located in various Airbus countries. This therefore provides diverse opportunities within the scope of the activity to get to know different aspects, working methods, topics, and areas of System Engineering within Airbus.
Your location
You will work in the largest production site for civil aircraft in Hamburg. Your working student position is located at the plant in Finkenwerder. Due to the location on the southern bank of the Elbe, there is the possibility to commute by ferry.

Your tasks and responsibilities
- Supporting the teams with day-to-day and strategic tasks, such as creating presentations, data evaluations, project and task planning, reports, and team activities.
- Identifying opportunities to optimize recurring tasks and processes and, if applicable, implementing them, e.g., through programming activities and creating small scripts.
- Migration of templates created in MS Office into the Google format.
- Support with engineering tasks.
Required knowledge and qualifications
- Enrolled full-time student (d/m/w) in the field of engineering, industrial engineering, or a comparable field of study.
- Teamwork skills, openness, good communication skills, high self-motivation, and the ability to work independently.
- Experience with common programming languages (e.g., Python, C#, JavaScript) is an advantage.
- Interest in creating small programs/scripts and database administration.
- Familiarity with Google Workspace (especially Google Sheets) or Excel is a plus.
- Basic project management knowledge is a plus.
- Fluent in English, good German skills are a bonus.
