For the Microwave Instruments Subsystems team in Immenstaad, we are looking for a Development Engineer (m/f/d) for the verification of highly reliable, digital electronics for radar space payloads.

Your Tasks and Responsibilities

• Definition of verification and test strategies for 'Digital Radar Backend Electronics' based on customer requirements and the given implementation
• Creation of the associated documentation such as VCD, test plans and specifications
• Derivation of work packages for internal and external work packages for test execution as well as their supervision and tracking of deliverables
• Practical execution of test automation and electrical measurements
• Troubleshooting and debugging of digital backends regarding their hardware, firmware and software
• Design-to-Test contributions to development work
• Architecture and requirement description of specific test systems (EGSE)
• Leading verification-relevant milestones and creating the associated data packages (TRR/TRB/QR).
• Support for design-relevant milestones (PDR/CDR)

Required Knowledge and Qualifications

• Master of Engineering in Electrical Engineering, Embedded Software or comparable
• Experience in the use and testing of embedded electronics
• Knowledge in the control of embedded components (FPGA, Microcontroller or comparable)
• Programming skills, preferably in C/C++/C#
• Experience working within multidisciplinary project teams
• Experience in ECSS-compliant verification flow or V-model is an advantage
• Experience with interface standards defined within ECSS (e.g., SpaceWire) is an advantage
• Experience with radar payloads is an advantage
• Very good English skills
• German skills are an advantage
