To support Technical Documentation at our Donauwörth location, Airbus Helicopters is looking for a (m/f/d) with a focus on the Illustrated Parts Catalog and the spare part configuration of German models such as H145, H135, BO105

Technical Data Engineer - IPC (d/m/w)

Technical Documentation creates spare part configurations, descriptions and illustrated data with which the customer can identify the spare parts required during helicopter maintenance. The Illustrated Parts Catalog (IPC) is a key document which is used by the customer, but also for internal purposes (such as TechRep, MRO). To create it, we work closely with Engineering, Logistics, Quality, Certification and all other Support&Service departments to ensure customer satisfaction regarding spare part availability.

Your location:

At the Donauwörth site on the banks of the Danube near Augsburg, we develop helicopters from the first idea to the airworthy product. Experience with us how they take off and land on our own test airfield.

Your tasks and responsibilities:

The job holder (d/m/w) analyzes and supports the design for the selection of the maintenance concept and the spare part configuration and ensures that the design solution optimally meets the customer requirements

• Independent analysis of change requests and estimation of efforts, definition of deliverables
• Determination of spare part data from technical construction documents (bills of material, drawings, manufacturer documents) and determination of spare part configurations/spare part kits as well as creation and maintenance of parts catalog data (CSN) with illustrations
• Data maintenance for spare parts and spare part availability (master data maintenance SAP) as well as determination, coordination and release of „Material-Evolution-Table" (MET)
• Preparation, drafting or validation of technical documentation in accordance with international standards to ensure safe and efficient maintenance and operation of aircraft

Required knowledge and qualifications:

• Completed studies in the field of aerospace engineering or Techniker (m/f/d) with several years of relevant professional experience
• You have extensive experience in the creation of illustrated parts catalogs (IPC) for helicopters, S1000D is an advantage
• You have experience with configuration management and possess IT skills
• You bring good helicopter knowledge for the German civil models
• Business fluent English skills

Your tasks and responsibilities

Our new colleague (d/m/w) analyses and supports the design to select a maintenance concept and spare configurations and ensures that the design solution fulfills the customer expectations.

• Independent analysis of change proposals and effort estimation for Support&Service deliverables
• Assessment of spare parts from technical documents (bills of material, drawings, manufacturer documents) and definition of spare configurations / kits, creation and maintenance of catalog data and illustrations
• Data management for spare parts and part availability in SAP as well as definition, coordination and release of „Material-Evolution-Table" (MET)
• Preparation, redaction and validations of technical documentation in accordance with international standards to ensure safe and efficient maintenance and aircraft operation

Desired skills and qualifications

• University degree in technical domain related to maintainability of mechanical or electrical systems (or similar education background such as "Techniker" paired with experience)
• Experience in the creation of illustrated parts catalogs for helicopters, knowledge of S1000D is a benefit
• Experience in configuration management and IT skills
• General knowledge of helicopters and associated systems
• Fluent in English; knowledge of French and German would be a plus
