For the Microwave Instruments Subsystems team in Immenstaad, we are looking for a System Engineer (m/f/d) for the development of highly reliable, digital electronics for radar spaceborne payloads.

** Tasks and Responsibilities

• Analysis of customer requirements and derivation of based specifications for subassemblies and functions
• Creation of the architecture of High-Speed, Mixed-Signal electronics for radar applications.
• Definition of development plans and modeling philosophies taking into account technical conditions, commercial aspects and existing product strategy.
• Leading the development team for spaceborne electrical equipment and its subassemblies
• Coordination of specific analyses such as Radiation, Thermal, Structural, RAMS
• Execution of electrical analyses such as EMC, WCA, PSA
• Close cooperation with system engineers at the payload/radar instrument level
• Execution of internal design reviews
• Preparation of reviews and data packages for development milestones (SRR/PDR/CDR).

** Required Knowledge and Qualifications

• Master of Engineering in the field of Electrical Engineering or comparable
• Experience in the development of digital, high-speed and/or mixed-signal electronics
• Experience in specific analyses for spaceborne electronics
• Experience with Mentor Design Tools (Dx Designer) or comparable
• Experience in the area of supplier or subcontractor management is an advantage
• Experience in the area of team leadership is an advantage
• Experience with radar payloads is an advantage
• Very good English skills
• German skills are an advantage
