Job Description

To support the "Deployable Solutions Integration" department, Airbus Defence and Space is looking for a Work Package Manager (d/m/w).

  • The position involves the processing of integration technical work packages in the field of small-series production as well as in prototype construction. Planning knowledge must be applied within the tension between time, quality, and cost targets. This includes planning work sequences and the required equipment, as well as defining and controlling the production plan.
  • The production planner coordinates various internal and external actors necessary for production activities and creates a feasible plan with all actors. They provide recommendations to production management to create short- or medium-term plans based on available resources and follow the production planning (implementation of planned work orders, release and closure of work orders).
  • Creates, updates, and analyzes KPIs to measure production results and defines improvement plans and their implementation.
  • The profile of the production planner includes knowledge from production, process and product knowledge, methodological knowledge, as well as specific work and business administration knowledge for planning production capacities.
  • As an interface to production, design, and project management, the production planner takes on an important role in the communication flow with involved departments and ensures the necessary coordination between them within the framework of projects.

Tasks and Activities:

  • Leading work packages in integration including requirements regarding time, deadline, and cost while complying with environmental and occupational safety aspects.
  • Implementation of requirements regarding product improvements.
  • Processing and documentation of complex repair orders in cooperation with logistics.
  • Planning and organization of repair missions domestically and abroad.
  • Participation in the development of integration concepts.
  • Participation in the manufacturing cost calculation of assemblies.
  • Creation of production and repair orders according to the regulations of order processing with SAP PP and SAP CS.
  • Design of workflows according to Lean principles.
  • Medium-term Project Manager Production for defense technology projects.

Required Knowledge and Qualifications

  • Completed training as a Business Engineer (d/m/w) / Technician (d/m/w) with professional experience in production planning in plant engineering.
  • Electrical engineering and mechanical knowledge
