AVIATION RESOURCE MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST
This AVIATION RESOURCE MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST position, is located in the Air Operations Group of an Air National Guard Aviation Wing and is part of the CA 163 ATKW.
Major duties
THIS IS A T32 EXCEPTED SERVICE, INDEFINITE POSITION Indefinite appointment cannot exceed 5 years. Selectee may be non-competitively converted to permanent status if/when funding becomes available or position becomes unencumbered. The primary purpose of the AVIATION RESOURCE MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST, GS-0301-9, is to plan, analyze, manage and control all operational & administrative aspects of aviation resources, safety, training, and flight hours by utilizing the Aviation Resource Management System (ARMS). May make additional selections within 90 days of eligible(s) issuance.
Qualifications
AVIATION RESOURCE MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST, GS-0301-9: Must have at least one year of specialized experience, equivalent to at least the GS-GS-07 level experience in providing technical guidance and assistance, knowledge and understanding of administrative procedures and practices of management and experience developing administrative procedures. Education
Substitution of Education for Specialized Experience: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree that demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to do the work required or have a combination of education and experience. (Only graduate education in excess of the amount required above may be used.) When there is a positive education or certification requirement, or you are using education to qualify as a substitution for experience, copies of transcripts (unofficial) and/or certificates are required at the time of application to verify that you meet the educational/certification requirement or substitution. CALIFORNIA NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED: This is an excepted service position that requires membership in the California National Guard. Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform. Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment. May be required to successfully complete a one or two year trial period. Must wear appropriate military uniform including required grooming standards. Must maintain a compatible military unit, grade and job assignment as required by current directives. Participation in direct deposit is mandatory. Must obtain and maintain additional training in the following courses: Squadron Aviation Resource Management Course, Host Aviation Resource Management Course, Aviation Resource Management Report & Design Analysis Course, Air National Guard Aviation Resource Management Senior Enlisted Course. When 9 skill-level is received, member will hold Advanced Aviation Resource Management Special Certification 066.When criteria are met in IAW AFMAN 11-421, para 5.3.3.1, will receive Special Certification 271.If member is a Regional Functional Manager, will hold SEI 063. Special Certification (SEI) 066, Advanced Aviation Resource Management Special Certification (SEI) 271, Host Aviation Resource Manager Superintendent Special Certification (SEI) 063, Air National Guard Regional Functional Manager Security Clearance: Minimum a National Agency Check is required.
