Senior Mobile App Developer

Your tasks

As a senior mobile app developer (iOS & Android – native & hybrid) based in Dubai, you will lead the design, development and delivery of high-performance mobile applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create engaging user experiences, mentor junior developers, and drive best practices in both native and hybrid mobile development.

• Lead end-to-end development of native Android (Kotlin/Java) and iOS (Swift/Objective-C) applications as well as hybrid apps using Flutter
• Architect, implement, and maintain scalable, modular mobile app architectures for Android and iOS platforms
• Integrate and manage push notification services and real-time messaging features
• Write and maintain automated tests using JUnit (Android) and XCTest (iOS) to ensure code quality and reliability
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers, product managers, and QA engineers to refine requirements and deliver high-quality releases
• Conduct code reviews, mentor junior developers, and establish mobile development best practices
• Optimize application performance, memory usage, and battery consumption
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, continuous integration, and continuous deployment processes

Requirements

Required qualifications

• 5–10 years of professional mobile application development experience
• Strong proficiency in native Android development (Kotlin/Java) and Android architecture patterns (MVVM, Clean Architecture)
• Strong proficiency in native iOS development (Swift/Objective-C) and iOS architecture patterns (MVC, MVVM)
• Proven experience building hybrid mobile apps using Flutter
• Experience implementing push notifications and real-time communication features
• Solid understanding of unit testing frameworks: JUnit for Android and XCTest for iOS
• Experience with Git and modern version control workflows
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to optimize app performance
• Strong communication skills and experience working in cross-functional, multicultural teams

Preferred qualifications

• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Fastlane or GitLab CI
• Familiarity with RESTful API and GraphQL integration
• Knowledge of state management solutions (Bloc, Provider) in Flutter
• Experience with mobile analytics and crash reporting tools (Firebase, Sentry)
• Prior experience in the UAE or MENA region
• Experience leading technical teams and mentoring peers
