Engagement Director

About the role:

As an engagement director based in Dubai, you will lead strategic client initiatives by blending deep technical expertise in solution architecture and SDLC with strong non-technical skills in program management, product ownership, and client engagement. You will drive end-to-end delivery, ensuring alignment between business objectives and technology solutions, while building and maintaining long-term relationships with C-level stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

Lead client engagements from proposal through delivery, ensuring business objectives are met within scope, budget, and timeline

Collaborate with clients to define requirements, solution roadmaps, and key performance indicators

Oversee the design and implementation of technical solutions in line with SDLC best practices

Manage program plans, resource allocation, risk mitigation, and change control processes

Act as product owner for key deliverables, prioritizing features and managing backlogs

Build and maintain executive-level relationships to foster trust, drive adoption, and secure renewals

Coordinate cross-functional teams of architects, developers, and business analysts in a matrixed environment

Monitor engagement health, report status to stakeholders, and implement continuous improvement initiatives

Ensure adherence to quality standards, compliance requirements, and governance policies

Required qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, business, or related field

7–12 years of experience in client engagement, program management, product ownership, or solution architecture

Proven track record as an engagement director or in a senior client-facing leadership role

Strong technical foundation with hands-on experience in solution architecture and SDLC methodologies

Demonstrated success managing complex programs, budgets, and timelines

Experience with agile frameworks and product backlog management

Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills

Ability to lead and motivate cross-disciplinary teams in a fast-paced environment

Willingness to travel regionally as required

Preferred qualifications:

Master’s degree (MBA, MSc) or equivalent

Certifications such as PMP, TOGAF, or Certified Scrum Product Owner

Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and digital transformation initiatives

Familiarity with the Middle East market and regional regulatory landscape

Fluency in Arabic or additional regional languages

Experience with enterprise CRM or ERP implementations
