BI Developer

Your tasks

We are seeking a skilled BI developer to join our team in the UAE. The successful candidate will leverage 4-6 years of experience to design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and analytical reports that align with business requirements, driving data-driven decision-making across the organization.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements
• Design, develop, test, and deploy interactive Power BI dashboards and reports
• Create and optimize data models, dataflows, and DAX calculations
• Integrate data from multiple sources using ETL processes
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and performance tuning
• Monitor and troubleshoot BI solutions, implementing enhancements as needed
• Provide training and support to end-users on BI tools and best practices
• Document BI solutions, processes, and technical specifications

Requirements

Required qualifications

• 4-6 years of experience as a BI developer or in a similar role
• Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI, including Power Query, Power Pivot, and DAX
• Strong knowledge of data modeling and SQL
• Experience with ETL processes and integrating data from multiple sources
• Familiarity with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server) and data warehousing concepts
• Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field

Preferred qualifications

• Experience with Azure Data Services (e.g., Synapse Analytics, Data Factory)
• Knowledge of SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS)
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R for advanced analytics
• Experience with version control tools (e.g., Git)
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Familiarity with other BI tools (e.g., Tableau, QlikView)
