Principal Planner
Job responsibilities: Develop, maintain, and update project schedules, monitor progress, and provide reports and analysis to support project management.
Directs the development and implementation of the project execution plan within the overall project schedule.
In charge of schedule management, including setting up level 4 critical path schedule and periodic schedule update.
Identify trends, analyse critical path, and evaluate consequences to the schedule.
Prepare ‘S’ curves, manpower histograms, rundown curves, and other planning deliverables as required in accordance with project requirements.
In case of delays, prepare recovery plan in agreement with the project team
Support Project Manager, Project Planning Manager and other project team with reports for analysis and decision-making.
Manages and mentors Senior Planner/Planner ensuring effective collaboration and performance.
Ensure adherence to the internal procedures and policies and drive implementation of new initiatives leading to fully integrated planning
Assist the tender team with planning inputs as required
Any other ad hoc planning activities to support the projects / tenders
Work experience requirements: Minimum 15 years of relevant project experience in medium to large-scale Oil & Gas (including FPSO) or Wind Energy sectors, with 5 years in a Lead or Principal Planner role.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering or equivalent.
Other skills: Extensive experience with Primavera, Microsoft Suite and ability to adapt quickly to new IT Tools
Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience in managing a planning team in a large-scale project
Effective analytical and problem-solving skills to assess project performance and identify potential issues.
Effective problem-solving, leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively with people across various cultures
Ability to travel at short notice / perform overtime work as required
