You manage your own client portfolio and ensure the smooth and error-free handling of all files, in accordance with the agreements made. When recurring problems arise, you signal them in a timely manner and actively think along regarding solutions. In addition, you are responsible for checking important documents such as Bills of Lading and files within Letter of Credit structures.

Your tasks

Operational (sea freight & logistics)

  • Handling incoming requests and orders, and advising customers on the best transport solutions
  • Comparing sailing schedules and transport options from different shipping lines
  • Booking shipments and registering them in the internal system
  • Coordinating transport, including container transport and any customs formalities
  • Communicating timely with customers regarding the status of their shipment
  • Checking transport documents and associated data (invoices, certificates, incoterms, ...)
  • Supporting the resolution of operational problems or disputes
  • Monitoring shipments with attention to risks and deadlines

Administration

  • Requesting and following up on necessary documents (customs, insurance, B/L, certificates, ...)
  • Ensuring correct processing of costs and revenues in the system
  • Keeping files and customer information up-to-date in the CRM system
  • Checking files within specific payment or document structures

Customer Management

  • Maintaining and further developing customer relationships on an operational and commercial level
  • Monitoring the profitability of files and customers
  • Actively communicating with customers and partners to collect all necessary information
  • Handling price inquiries in consultation with the commercial team
  • Supporting and guiding junior colleagues
  • Sporadically participating in customer visits

You have a strong interest in logistics and work accurately and in a structured manner. You are proactive, stress-resistant, and function well within a team. Additionally, you are customer-oriented, communicative, and take initiative when necessary.

Education & knowledge

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent through experience
  • Knowledge of forwarding and sea freight (incoterms, customs, B/L, ...)
  • Good command of MS Office
  • Fluent knowledge of French and English, both oral and written

  • Strong analytical skills and able to determine priorities
  • Communicative and professional in contact with customers and partners
  • Independent, but knows when to coordinate with colleagues
  • Well-organized and accurate, even under time pressure
