Customer Adaptation Engineer

For our client, a renowned global player and leading truck manufacturer, we are looking for a Customer Adaptation Engineer for the location in Gent. In this challenging role, you will be part of a specialized team that converts customer-specific wishes – beyond the standard offering – into feasible, high-quality, and innovative technical solutions.

Your package of tasks

• Thoroughly analyzing and assessing special customer requests regarding technical feasibility, budget, delivery times, and legal requirements
• Independently making decisions regarding the concrete elaboration of technical concepts
• Advising various internal departments regarding customized product solutions
• Collaborating intensively with stakeholders such as design, order planning, sales engineers, suppliers, and the production department
• Guaranteeing a timely and efficient production process for customer-specifically adapted vehicles
• Actively maintaining and continuously expanding your technical knowledge and product expertise
• You possess a bachelor's degree, preferably in a technical field
• Affinity with vehicles or experience within the automotive sector is a great plus
• You possess excellent knowledge of English (knowledge of additional languages is an extra asset)
• You are proficient in using MS Office
• You are administratively, organizationally, and commercially strong
• You are a born team player with strong social and networking skills
