AGO Technics: Project Leader Engineering

Job Description

As Project Leader Engineering, you bear responsibility for various technical projects, coordinating the process from the initial study and development phase to the final launch and evaluation. In close collaboration with the Managing Director, you analyze specific customer requirements and conduct feasibility studies to arrive at the best technical solution. In this role, you are closely involved in the commercial side: you prepare quotes, create orders, and continuously monitor the contractual terms, the planning, and the margins of the assignments.

During execution, you assemble a high-performing project team based on the technical specifications, consisting of both internal and external stakeholders such as operators and subcontractors. You act as the driving force, strictly monitoring safety, quality, and applicable environmental regulations, and adjusting where necessary. As the central point of contact for the customer, you build a sustainable relationship and keep an eye out for new commercial opportunities. After delivery, you guarantee a correct post-calculation and organize the project evaluation. Furthermore, you are responsible for after-sales service, including the management of maintenance contracts. To maintain the innovative edge of Smet Jet, you keep your technical knowledge up-to-date and continuously seek improvements in processes and systems.

• You possess a higher technical degree, preferably a Master's Degree in Industrial Engineering Electromechanics, or are equivalent through experience.
• You can demonstrate several years of project-based experience in a similar technical context.
• A passion for technology as well as highly developed project management skills are essential.
• You are a clear communicator with a good knowledge of English; knowledge of French is a major plus.
• You are a good coach for your team and possess strong people management skills.
• Your personality is characterized by a proactive, stress-resistant, flexible, and solution-oriented working attitude.
• Depending on the projects, you are willing to travel sporadically.
