About the Company

A public transport operator managing a city-wide bus network for a major UAE emirate, in partnership with the local Roads & Transport Authority. The group runs public bus routes, smart ticketing, and on-demand transport services, with a mission to deliver safe, reliable, and affordable mobility. This FP&A role sits within its Holdco finance function, supporting group-level reporting and coordination across the organization's finance operations.

Key Responsibilities

Holdco Finance Operations

  • Manage Holdco-level payment processing (approximately 10 payments per month)
  • Process month-end journal entries, accruals, provisions, and expense allocations within the ERP system
  • Prepare and process recharge debit notes to subsidiaries

Subsidiary Financial Reporting

  • Support subsidiary finance teams on monthly reporting requirements
  • Assist with monthly closing activities and review of financial information
  • Perform variance analysis (Actual vs Budget) with subsidiary finance teams

Management Information Systems (MIS) and Reporting

  • Coordinate with subsidiaries to collect financial and operational data
  • Prepare monthly MIS presentations and management reporting packs
  • Consolidate data and ensure consistency across reporting submissions

Budgeting and Forecasting

  • Support the annual budgeting and forecasting process
  • Review subsidiary budget submissions and perform reasonableness checks
  • Assist in preparing budget review materials for management

Audit Support

  • Assist with external audit and review engagements
  • Coordinate information requests between auditors and subsidiary finance teams
  • Support preparation of audit schedules and reconciliations

Qualifications and Skills

  • Qualified Accountant — ACCA, ACA, or equivalent with Big Four audit background preferred
  • Strong financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience with ERP and group reporting environments

Additional Information

  • 4-month contract leading to permanent placement based on performance
  • Candidates holding their own UAE visa or an NOC from their current or previous employer will be preferred
