AGO Technics: IT Infrastructure & Operations Engineer

We are looking for an experienced IT Infrastructure & Operations Engineer to strengthen our IT team in Turnhout. You will contribute to the daily management and further development of our IT environment, with a combination of traditional on-premise infrastructure, Microsoft 365, and Microsoft Azure.

We are not looking for a specialist who focuses exclusively on one technology, but an all-round IT professional who understands how the different components of an IT environment are interconnected. You will be given the space to apply your existing knowledge and further develop towards cloud infrastructure, security, and automation.

• Management and optimization of the Windows Server environment, Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, and Microsoft 365.
• Management of workstations and mobile devices via Microsoft Intune.
• Maintenance of the IT infrastructure, including Hyper-V, networks, connectivity, and FortiGate firewalls.
• Analyzing and resolving network and infrastructure problems (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, firewalls, and VPNs).
• Supporting the management and further expansion of the Microsoft Azure environment.
• Automating recurring management tasks using, among others, PowerShell.
• Monitoring the infrastructure and proactively detecting and addressing potential problems.
• Supporting security, identity, and access management processes.
• Resolving operational incidents and documenting infrastructure, configurations, and management procedures.
• You preferably hold a bachelor's degree in Applied Computer Science, Electronics-ICT, System and Network Management, Cloud and Cybersecurity, or a comparable IT field. An equivalent level built through relevant work experience and technical certifications is also considered.
• A few years of relevant work experience as a system engineer, infrastructure engineer, system administrator, or in a similar role.
• Knowledge of Windows Server and Active Directory.
• Experience with Microsoft 365.
• Knowledge of networking: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, firewalls, and VPNs.
• Experience with virtualization, preferably Hyper-V, Microsoft Entra ID, and Intune.
• Affinity with Microsoft Azure and the ambition to further expand your knowledge of this.
• Experience with PowerShell or interest in automating management tasks.
• French and English are our working languages, so you speak and write fluently in both languages.

Experience with FortiGate, Azure networking, monitoring, backup & recovery, security is not a requirement, but is a plus.

Additionally, we consider it important that you work in a structured manner and do not just solve a problem, but also try to understand why something went wrong and how we can prevent the same problem from occurring again.

As a result, you will work with traditional IT components such as Windows Server, Active Directory, Hyper-V, and networking, but also with Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, and Azure.

Our cloud environment continues to evolve. Therefore, you do not need to be an Azure expert when you start with us. Affinity with cloud technology and the motivation to further expand your Azure knowledge is important to us.
