AGO Select: Buyer with experience

Are you a strong negotiator with a passion for international purchasing? Do you have experience in sourcing technical goods and do you effortlessly build sustainable relationships with suppliers worldwide? For an innovative company in the Maldegem region, we are looking for an experienced Buyer who will play an important role within the international purchasing department.

Your tasks

• You manage and develop an international portfolio of suppliers within various product categories.
• You actively search for new suppliers to create a competitive advantage.
• You analyze market trends and perform strategic supplier analyses.
• You contribute to the development of the global sourcing and purchasing strategy.
• You build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams within various locations.
• You support projects regarding product introductions and further growth of the organization.
• You optimize the total cost of ownership and contribute ideas for improvements within the entire value chain.
• You oversee compliance with purchasing procedures and supplier guidelines.
• You draft service level agreements and monitor them closely.
• You monitor supplier performance in terms of delivery, quality, safety, and environment.
• You take the lead in structural operational problems and develop sustainable solutions.
• You hold a master's degree in (electro)mechanical direction, commercial engineering, or an equivalent education.
• You have at least 5 years of experience in international purchasing of technical goods.
• You are strong in communication and know how to build professional relationships sustainably.
• You combine analytical insight with a strategic and tactical approach.
• You are an experienced negotiator focused on long-term collaborations.
• You work result-oriented and strive for win-win situations for all parties.
• You are willing to travel approximately 15% of your time.
• You feel comfortable in an international context and negotiate fluently in English.
