Production Supervisor Oostakker

For our client, a global top player in the automotive sector and an absolute reference in the Port of Ghent, we are looking for a people-oriented Production Supervisor. In this role, together with your team leaders, you will lead a team of approximately 50 operators. You will coordinate production activities in a structured manner, with coaching and caring for your employees as the central focus.

• Coaching and motivating your team to contribute to a high-quality end product in a safe manner
• Taking responsibility for a specific, defined part of the production process
• Stimulating your employees to follow strict guidelines regarding safety, quality, ergonomics, and environment
• Encouraging autonomy and actively capturing improvement suggestions from the shop floor
• Guiding and supporting your team in their daily tasks and professional growth
• Organizing the necessary training to achieve the set production goals
• Working closely with a diverse team of fellow supervisors for consultation and advice
• Reporting on the progress and efficiency within your department
• You possess a bachelor's or master's degree, or are equivalent through relevant experience
• You have a passion for people and are exceptionally strong in communication
• You derive energy from inspiring and motivating large groups of employees
• You employ a people-oriented leadership style and are highly skilled organizationally
• A technical background is less important than the willingness to learn and to demonstrate the right attitude
• You are hands-on, flexible, and enjoy the dynamics and challenges of a production environment
• You have a good knowledge of the English language
