Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Develop the vehicle concepts of the future in a senior design role focusing on electrification, system integration, and technical solutions. In this role, you will work with concept development and mechanical design in early development phases, where electrification and advanced vehicle technology are at the center. About the role Work in a team at a large international player within the automotive industry. Drive mechanical concept development for advanced vehicles. Handle technical issues in an environment with changing conditions. Collaborate closely with development, production, and other cross-functional teams.

This is what you will do Create 3D models and concept documentation in Catia V5. Develop solutions for, for example, cooling, brakes, steering, and battery installations. Contribute to vehicle layout and ensure design feasibility. Perform or support FEM calculations for concept validation. Deliver relevant design documentation within tight development frameworks.

We are looking for you who have At least seven years of experience in mechanical design or a related field. Experience in concept development and working in early development phases. Very good proficiency in 3D design in Catia V5. Experience with battery electric vehicles and system integration. Knowledge of vehicle layout as well as preferably cooling, brake, steering, or battery systems.

Technology & Tools Catia V5 for 3D modeling and design documentation. Enovia or comparable PLM systems. FEM for strength and concept validation. BEV technology, vehicle layout, and mechanical system integration.
