Embedded Software Engineer – Thermal Management

Develop embedded software for advanced thermal control systems in the commercial vehicles of the future.

About the role

• You will be part of a team that develops application software for thermal control systems.
• The focus is on a central control unit for cooling circuits and related vehicle functions.
• The role includes both new development and further development of existing functions.
• You will collaborate with system developers, test teams, and other technical areas.

What you will do

• Perform requirement decomposition, software design, implementation, and documentation.
• Develop and verify control strategies for thermal systems.
• Plan, execute, and analyze rig and vehicle tests.
• Work with calibration, system trimming, and functional verification.
• Ensure quality and delivery maturity ahead of software releases.

We are looking for you who have

• A university or master's degree in computer engineering, electrical engineering, or a similar field.
• Several years of experience in embedded software development, preferably at a specialist level.
• Experience with control strategies, software verification, and functional testing.
• Understanding of system calibration and analysis of test results.
• Good ability to communicate and collaborate in cross-functional, international teams.

Technology & Tools

• C, C++, and Python.
• MATLAB, Simulink, TargetLink, and Embedded Coder.
• Jenkins as well as SIL, MIL, and HIL testing.
• Meritorious with knowledge of thermal systems, mechatronics, or automotive control systems.
