CAD Mechanical Design Engineer – Glass Systems

Develop glass solutions for the vehicles of the future – from concept and CAD models to industrialization and production introduction.

Do you want to develop glass and body-adjacent components for modern vehicles? In this role, you will work through the entire development chain, from technical documentation and CAD models to industrialization and introduction into production.

About the role

• You will become part of a cross-functional team within vehicle development.
• The focus is on the development of vehicle glass, for example windshields, side windows, rear windows, and glass roofs.
• You will work in several parallel projects, primarily in the design and industrialization phases.

This is what you will do

• Prepare technical design documentation for glass-related components.
• Create and update delivery models and CAD documentation.
• Create 3D PMI in CAD models.
• Perform collision analyses together with mechanical integration before release.
• Update component templates and design documentation as needed.

We are looking for someone who has

• Experience in mechanical design within product development.
• Very good knowledge of CATIA V5 and Teamcenter.
• Good understanding of plastic design.
• Meritorious knowledge of glass design.
• Ability to collaborate and drive design tasks forward in a changing environment.
