Agicap enables the finance departments of mid-sized companies to effectively manage and forecast their cash flow, pay their suppliers, and get paid. We have raised 145 million euros since our creation, from prestigious venture capital funds such as AVP, Greenoaks, Partech, and BlackFin, with a recent round in November 2024.

Agicap is becoming an AI-first company. We are training all our employees to work with AI and to automate part of their own tasks. Some projects are too long, too cross-functional, or too technical to be carried by a business team alone.

That is the role of the AI Lab.

It is the pivot team that builds the internal tools that change the way Agicap works on a daily basis. Our compass: rapid operational impact, short iterations, 360° work with all teams (Sales, CS, Finance, Product, Marketing, Data, C-level).

This is a new position: the acceleration of AI is changing our processes and our way of working. We need senior reinforcement to accompany this transition and embed it into long-term practices.

The team you will join:

3 people, including you: one junior AI engineer, a part-time Tech Lead (who will be your manager), and a Product Manager.

Your role: to provide the technical perspective that is currently missing in the team (infra, architecture, maintainability, scalability) — build fast, but without digging technical debt for tomorrow.

You will be in direct interaction with all of Agicap's business teams: this is a very cross-functional, highly exposed position.

⚡️ Responsibilities:

You will alternate between rapid scoping, building, and iteration:

Understand the needs of a business team directly, scope what truly has impact vs. what is just for comfort, and prioritize.

Build internal tools from end to end: scoping → dev → production → iteration with users.

Evolve the common AI platform: MCP servers, integrations, cross-functional tooling made available to the entire company.

Make the technical decisions that structure the Lab: infra, stack choices, architecture. There is no heavy existing setup to conform to; you build to scale.

Raise the technical level of the team: mentoring the junior AI Engineer, transmitting best practices, and conducting useful code reviews.

Proactively identify processes where AI brings real gains — and build the solution.

Examples of projects in your first 6 months:

Product feedback loop: build a system that digests all client feedback logs (calls, RFP, CS feedback) and produces prioritized recommendations for Product Managers. Today the data exists, but we don't digest it.

MCP infra project: make MCP servers available to Agicap employees, connected to their daily tools, at scale.

⚡️ How we work:

Total autonomy: a team of 3, you decide, you take responsibility for your choices.

High ship rate: we deliver daily, we measure, we iterate. No old-fashioned sprints.

Full remote or hybrid Lyon/Paris, as you prefer. Visits to Lyon are possible (~once every 6 weeks) but never mandatory.

AI in daily delivery: we use Claude, OpenAI, Mistral daily to build — we don't just observe the AI wave, we are in it.

English required: many employees are English speakers. Your partner is French-speaking.

👀 Profile sought:

We are looking for a senior profile with Tech Lead experience — someone who has already made impactful decisions, pushed demanding technical topics, and actively explored the AI field:

~4-5 years minimum experience in dev, on projects that have actually been put into production.

Tech Lead experience or equivalent: you have already driven architecture and infra decisions, and you know how to arbitrate between velocity and debt.

Concrete and recent practice of LLMs: you have tried things, pushed experiments, tested Claude / OpenAI / Mistral. You are a driver on these topics, not a follower.

Python and TypeScript in your toolbox. The language matters less than your ability to choose the right tool for the right problem.

Solid technical foundations: you master and understand what you deliver.

Ability to deliver fast and prioritize what truly has impact — Doer mode, not PowerPoint mode.

Proactivity and curiosity: you identify opportunities that no one has formulated, and you go after them.

Fluent professional English.

Assumed autonomy: in a team of 3, you cannot hide.

⭐ Stack and tooling

LLMs: Claude (Anthropic), OpenAI, Mistral — the team is not mono-provider; you choose the right model for the right use case.

Languages: mostly Python and TypeScript.

Infra: it's up to you to build it, with real decision-making rights — no heavy existing setup.

Internal AI tooling: MCP servers, common AI platform, agents connected to business tools.

Cycle: Continuous Delivery, daily production deployment, direct user feedback.
