Bricklayer

Agecourt Limited is a growing construction company looking for an experienced and reliable Bricklayer to join our team on a full-time basis.

Salary: £35,000 – £50,000 per year, depending on experience and skills.

Main Responsibilities:

• Carry out bricklaying and blockwork on residential and commercial construction projects.
• Build and repair walls, partitions, foundations and other brick or block structures.
• Read and work from drawings, plans and specifications.
• Measure and calculate materials required for assigned work.
• Prepare mortar and ensure correct consistency and application.
• Set out brickwork accurately, ensuring correct alignment, levels and dimensions.
• Cut and shape bricks and blocks as required.
• Repair and maintain existing brickwork where necessary.
• Work effectively alongside other construction trades and site personnel.
• Ensure work is completed to a high standard and within agreed project timescales.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe working area.
• Follow company procedures and all relevant health and safety requirements.

Experience & Skills:

• Previous professional bricklaying or construction experience is preferred.
• Good knowledge of bricklaying techniques, materials and construction methods.
• Ability to use relevant hand and power tools safely.
• Ability to understand construction drawings and specifications.
• Good attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
• Reliable, punctual and capable of working independently and as part of a team.
• Relevant construction or bricklaying qualifications are desirable.
