Must-have:PythonC#SeniorPrincipal

Join AFRY's BID3 Models team in Oslo and help shape the future of electricity market modelling.  BID3 is one of Europe's leading power market models, used by transmission system operators, utilities, traders, policymakers and major energy companies to analyse electricity markets, value assets and support investment decisions. Our client base spans many of the most influential organisations in the energy sector, and we work closely with users across Europe and beyond.  The Oslo team plays a key role in the development of BID3, with a particular focus on advanced hydro power modelling and optimization in the Nordics and Brazil. We are currently undertaking several exciting client-driven developments to further improve our detailed hydro modelling capabilities, including cascade modelling and stochastic dynamic programming (SDDP) approaches used to calculate water values. Our team works with all the Nordic TSOs and some of the largest power producesr and consumers in the Nordics and Brazil. We are hiring one developer/modeller with 1-4 years of experience to strengthen our team. You will contribute directly to the development of BID3 while also having opportunities to participate in consulting assignments, collaborate with leading energy companies, and help solve some of the most challenging problems facing the energy transition.  This is primarily a software development and modelling role, but it also offers the opportunity to work directly with clients and energy market experts across AFRY's international network.
