Hydraulic Engineer for water and climate adaptation planning

Do you want to help plan and create robust water solutions and climate adaptation for the cities of the future through projects of great societal importance? In AFRY's Water & Drainage business, we work with the development of sustainable solutions within water, wastewater, and climate adaptation. You will become part of a competent professional environment where we help municipalities, utilities, and private actors manage future water challenges. As a hydraulic engineer, you will become a central part of our projects within water and climate adaptation. You will be responsible for both analyses, consultancy, and professional development in close cooperation with colleagues and customers. Your tasks will include, among others:

• Preparing hydraulic models and conducting hydraulic analyses from simple screenings to advanced dynamic calculations
• Advising municipalities, utilities, and private actors on climate adaptation and sustainable solutions
• Selecting and recommending the right methods and solutions for hydraulic analyses
• Contributing to the development of data-driven methods and tools for the future water sector.

You will have great influence over your own projects and the opportunity to develop within an engaged professional network.

We imagine that you have a technical background and experience with hydraulic analyses within the water sector, and in addition, you have:

• Education as a diplom- or civilingeniør within Urban Water Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 3-5 years of concrete experience within hydraulics, water, or climate adaptation
• Experience with ArcGIS, SCALGO, possibly MIKE+ and Microsoft Office
• The ability to plan, coordinate, and manage your own projects
• Good English skills.
