We are looking for you who want to be employed at AFRY and work primarily towards our customers within the defense industry.

The need for knowledge in electronics is growing, and we need more people.

The customers are global players in high-tech defense and security operations, active within aerospace, land, and marine defense, civil security, and commercial aviation technology. They offer their customers effective solutions for surveillance, security, and decision support, as well as for detection and protection against threats. Technically, they are leaders in many areas and develop products and systems to deliver military capability, protect national security, and maintain critical information and infrastructure.

To succeed in the role, it is important to be able to work in a structured manner and follow formal processes, as development is often safety-critical. You are an important part of the development of the customer's future products. In the role, you will also participate in other parts of the development process, for example through systems engineering, requirements management, testing, and delivery.

Qualifications

For this role, we are looking for you who have experience in one or more of these areas:

• Electronics design
• PCB layout
• Embedded design
• ASIC / FPGA design

In addition to an academic education, we expect you to have good knowledge of English in speech and writing. It is a merit if you have good knowledge of Swedish. For this position, you must hold Swedish citizenship and be resident in Sweden, as well as be able to undergo a security clearance.

Depending on which role you have experience in, we look for experience in one or more of the following areas:

• Digital design, but analog design and RF are also of interest, preferably using tools such as Altium Designer and Cadence Allegro.
• IP design and verification.
• Signal and power integrity, simulations, EMC, and preferably tools such as ADS, SIwave, HFSS, Hyperlynx.
• HW-level programming.
• Requirements management or systems engineering.
• Wireless communication, high-speed links, or similar.
• Troubleshooting, board bring-up, laboratory work.

Of course, we also place great emphasis on your personal qualities. As a consultant, it is important that you work independently and are used to taking your own initiative. Since many assignments are in collaboration with both customers and colleagues, you should also have good social skills and enjoy working in a group.
