Role Description
Head of Financial Institution Partnerships & Fintech Solutions
The Head of Financial Institution Partnerships & Fintech Solutions will lead AfriPay Business's strategy for acquiring, developing and managing strategic relationships with fintechs, PSPs, payment aggregators, banks, finance companies, digital financial institutions and other financial technology businesses.
This is a senior commercial and strategic role combining enterprise sales, fintech partnerships, payment infrastructure and technical solution selling.
The primary mandate is to identify institutions that can benefit from AfriPay's payment infrastructure, establish relationships with senior decision-makers, understand their business and technical requirements, structure solutions, negotiate commercial partnerships and drive customers from initial engagement through integration, go-live and transaction growth.
The successful candidate will work closely with the CEO, Product, Engineering, Compliance, Finance and Operations teams to develop and execute AfriPay's institutional growth strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and acquire high-value financial institution and fintech customers across Africa and international markets. Primary region , NIGERIA Develop and manage strategic relationships with fintechs, PSPs, payment gateways, payment aggregators, banks, finance companies, remittance companies, FX providers and digital financial institutions. Own the enterprise sales cycle from prospecting and discovery through proposal, negotiation, contract, integration, launch and account expansion. Understand customer payment flows, operational challenges and technical requirements and position AfriPay's infrastructure as a solution. Develop commercial proposals covering transaction pricing, FX, settlement, revenue sharing, API fees, volume commitments and other partnership structures. Build relationships with CEOs, founders, CTOs, CFOs, COOs, Heads of Payments, Heads of Treasury, Heads of Product and other senior decision-makers. Work with AfriPay's technical teams to facilitate API and infrastructure integrations and resolve implementation challenges. Support the development of strategic partnerships that can generate significant transaction volume and distribution opportunities. Monitor partner performance, transaction activity, revenue and opportunities for account expansion. Identify new payment corridors, fintech opportunities and emerging financial infrastructure requirements. Provide market intelligence on competitors, pricing, payment infrastructure and evolving fintech business models. Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to communicate customer requirements and identify opportunities for new products and integrations. Work with Compliance, Risk and Finance teams to ensure prospective partnerships meet AfriPay's commercial, regul
