Network Infrastructure - Engineer

Our client, a North American company with offices in Monterrey and Querétaro, is looking for an Infrastructure Engineer. The position is focused on the administration and optimization of infrastructure, with special emphasis on Azure and enterprise networks. This is not a software development or DevOps position.

Requirements

We are looking for a Cloud Infrastructure and Networks Engineer with solid practical experience in Microsoft Azure, Windows server administration, and enterprise networks, who will contribute to ensuring the availability, security, performance, and efficiency of the organization's technological infrastructure.

Main responsibilities:

• Administer, configure, and optimize infrastructure in Microsoft Azure and, occasionally, AWS.
• Diagnose and resolve complex enterprise network incidents, including switching, routing, VLAN, firewalls, and wireless networks.
• Administer Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, access policies, RBAC, and privileged identity management (PIM).
• Implement and maintain monitoring, security, and threat detection solutions through Microsoft Sentinel and Azure Monitor.
• Administer Windows servers, hybrid networks, and storage services.
• Automate infrastructure processes, provisioning, and administration through PowerShell and Terraform.
• Participate in risk assessments, security audits, and operational continuity projects.
• Provide specialized technical support and serve as an escalation point for critical incidents.
• Manage the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Cisco or Meraki physical network equipment.
• Participate in rotating on-call shifts to handle incidents outside of business hours.

* Indispensable requirements:

• Advanced English, both oral and written.
• More than 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure in enterprise environments.
• More than 3 years of general experience administering and supporting infrastructure in Microsoft Azure, including IaaS and PaaS services.
• At least 3 years of experience administering Windows Server, Active Directory, and hybrid identity environments.
• At least 1 year of experience with Cisco or Meraki equipment.
• Practical experience in enterprise networks: switching, routing, VLAN, firewalls, VPN, and network segmentation.
• Solid knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID, Conditional Access, RBAC, and PIM.
• Experience in PowerShell for automation and infrastructure administration.
• Knowledge of Terraform and infrastructure as code (IaC).
• Experience in administering Azure services, such as Azure Virtual Networks, Azure Monitor, Azure Key Vault, and Azure App Service.

Desirable knowledge

• Experience with AWS, especially VPC, IAM, Transit Gateway, and Security Groups.
• Microsoft AZ-104 or AZ-500 certifications.
• Experience with Palo Alto firewalls.
• Knowledge of Python or Bash.
• Experience with Microsoft Sentinel, SIEM solutions, and cloud security tools.
• Knowledge of Zero Trust architecture and security automation.
