Head of Purchasing (m/f/d)

Tasks ...

• Overall responsibility for strategic and operational purchasing
• Functional and disciplinary leadership of the purchasing team as well as their further development
• Development and implementation of a long-term purchasing strategy in coordination with the company management
• Market monitoring and competitive analysis to identify cost-saving potential and develop new suppliers
• Negotiation and conclusion of contracts with suppliers to ensure a reliable supply
• Maintenance of long-term relationships with suppliers
• Identification and realization of cost reduction potential in cooperation with other specialist departments and suppliers

Knowledge …

• Successfully completed degree in business administration, engineering, or a comparable training with corresponding professional experience
• Strong technical understanding
• Several years of leadership experience in purchasing or materials management in an industrial environment
• Negotiation and communication skills as well as leadership competence
• Assertiveness, teamwork, and resilience
• Strategic thinking, as well as independent and structured way of working
• Strong cost awareness
• Experience in handling ERP systems and MS Office
• Fluent English skills
