Logistics Manager

Who We Are Looking For & What Role You Will Play We are seeking a dynamic, hands-on and forward-looking Logistics Manager to lead the Logistics and Transport functions within the Integrated Enterprise Services & Sustainability (IESS) Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing logistics operations, transportation management, fleet management, inventory governance, warehousing activities, major event logistics support and sustainability initiatives. The role will also champion Business Continuity Management (BCM), Artificial Intelligence (AI) adoption and digital transformation initiatives for the department. The successful candidate must possess strong leadership capabilities, operational planning expertise and stakeholder management skills. Beyond day-to-day operations, the individual will play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence, digitalisation, sustainability and organisational readiness across AETOS. Job Description Logistics Operations & Central Store Management Lead and manage all logistics operations to support business and operational requirements across AETOS.

Oversee the management of Central Store operations, including inventory governance, stock accuracy and resource readiness.

Ensure effective administration of Event Store, Uniform Store, Communications Store and contingency stock holdings.

Lead annual stocktake exercises and inventory verification activities.

Establish inventory control procedures and continuously improve warehouse efficiency, inventory visibility and accountability.

Ensure timely deployment and availability of operational resources, equipment and consumables.

Transportation & Fleet Management Lead and oversee the Transport function, including transportation planning and daily transport operations.

Manage company vehicle fleets, deployment schedules, maintenance programmes and vehicle replacement plans.

Oversee transportation vendors, private hire services and bus transportation contracts.

Monitor fleet utilisation, operational readiness and regulatory compliance.

Drive transportation cost optimisation and service improvements.

Major Event Logistics Management Lead logistics planning, coordination and execution for major national, corporate and operational events.

Manage transportation arrangements, meal logistics, equipment deployment and operational support requirements for large-scale events including: National Day Parade (NDP)

Year-End Countdown Operations

Other national and ad-hoc operational deployments

Oversee event infrastructure support including tentage, generators, temporary air-conditioning systems and deployment equipment.

Coordinate closely with Operations, clients, government agencies, vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure successful event delivery.

SAP Materials Management & Systems Governance Serve as the Logistics owner for SAP Materials Management (MM) processes in partnership with the Procurement Department.

Ensure the accuracy and integrity of inventory transactions, goods movements and stock records.

Support systems enhancement, process standardisation and inventory governance initiatives.

Drive process compliance and accountability within logistics operations.

Sustainability & Green Logistics Lead sustainability-related initiatives within Logistics and Transport operations.

Support the transition towards green fleet and electric vehicle (EV) adoption programmes.

Develop and implement initiatives to reduce carbon emissions, fuel consumption and operational waste.

Support organisational ESG objectives through responsible logistics practices and resource optimisation.

Collaborate with Sustainability, Facilities Management and Procurement teams on environmental initiatives.

Budget, Financial & Resource Management Manage Logistics and Transport operating budgets (OPEX) and capital expenditure budgets (CAPEX).

Develop annual budget plans and forecasts.

Monitor expenditure, identify savings opportunities and ensure prudent use of organisational resources.

Provide recommendations on asset replacement, fleet investments and logistics infrastructure improvements.

Business Continuity Management (BCM) Serve as the BCM Champion for the IESS Department.

Establish, maintain and review departmental business continuity plans and contingency arrangements.

Coordinate business continuity exercises, simulations and readiness reviews.

Work with stakeholders to identify operational risks and implement mitigation measures.

Support corporate BCM initiatives and ensure departmental compliance with organisational requirements.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) & Digital Transformation Serve as the AI Champion for the IESS Department.

Identify opportunities to leverage AI, automation and digital technologies to improve operational efficiency and service delivery.

Promote adoption of Power Platform, Power BI, AI-enabled tools and other digital solutions within IESS.

Work with Technology and Digital Transformation teams to pilot innovative solutions and process improvements.

Drive a culture of innovation, continuous learning and data-driven decision making.

Leadership & People Development Lead, coach and develop the Logistics and Transport teams under the IESS Department.

Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, teamwork and continuous improvement.

Establish performance goals, monitor team performance and support staff development.

Conduct succession planning and capability development initiatives.

Build a resilient and high-performing logistics organisation capable of supporting business growth.

Stakeholder, Vendor & Contract Management Manage logistics service providers, transportation vendors and operational contractors.

Monitor vendor performance against contractual obligations and service level requirements.

Work closely with Operations, Procurement, Facilities Management, Sustainability and Corporate stakeholders.

Ensure effective communication and coordination across internal and external parties.

Management Reporting & Executive Presentations Prepare and present Logistics, Transport, Sustainability and Transformation updates during monthly COG Management Meetings.

Develop management dashboards, performance reports and operational updates for senior management.

Present improvement initiatives, business cases and strategic recommendations.

Monitor KPIs and provide timely escalation of operational risks and issues.

Continuous Improvement & Strategic Projects Lead logistics transformation, automation and process improvement projects.

Develop and implement best practices to improve efficiency, service delivery and operational resilience.

Support strategic initiatives assigned by the Director, IESS.

Participate in cross-functional projects that enhance organisational capabilities and business performance.

What Knowledge & Experience We Require From You Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Operations Management or related discipline.

Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain, fleet management or operational support functions.

Minimum 5 years of leadership experience managing teams and operational activities.

Proven experience in inventory management, warehousing, fleet management and transportation operations.

Demonstrated experience managing large-scale events, operational deployments or project coordination activities.

Experience with SAP Materials Management (MM) or similar ERP systems.

Experience managing CAPEX and OPEX budgets.

Knowledge of Business Continuity Management (BCM) principles and operational risk management.

Experience leading digitalisation, process automation or transformation initiatives.

Familiarity with AI-enabled productivity tools, Microsoft Power Platform and Power BI will be advantageous.

Strong stakeholder management, vendor management and negotiation skills.

Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.

Excellent communication, presentation and report-writing skills.

Experience in security services, facilities management, integrated services, logistics or operationally intensive environments will be an advantage.
