Mathematics Tutor (Fresh Grads Welcome)
Work Location: Hougang
Work Days/Hours: Tuesday – Friday:12.30pm - 9.00pm, Sunday: 9.00am - 5.00pm
Job Responsibilities:
Class Teaching
- Plan and conduct engaging lessons for small groups and/or 1-to-1 students in A Math and E Math, following the MOE syllabuses (O-Level / N-Level / IP where applicable).
- Explain mathematical concepts clearly and step-by-step, catering to students of different abilities.
Student Progress & Support
- Assess students’ strengths and weaknesses; customise teaching approaches accordingly.
- Mark and review students’ work regularly, providing constructive feedback and corrections.
- Monitor and track student progress; prepare short progress updates when required.
Materials & Administration
- Use and improve centre’s worksheets, notes, and resources
- Prepare for lessons in advance; ensure classrooms and resources are ready before class starts.
- Record attendance, marks and other relevant data accurately and promptly.
Communication
- Communicate with parents/guardians professionally on students’ progress when needed.
- Work closely with the centre’s management and other tutors to ensure consistent teaching quality.
Other Duties
- Assist with trial lessons, holiday programmes and workshops.
- Perform other reasonable tasks assigned by the centre (e.g. invigilation of mock exams, curriculum review).
Job Requirements:
- Strong proficiency in A Math and E Math.
- Passion for teaching and helping students succeed.
- Reliable and able to commit to scheduled session.
