Systems & Tooling Engineer (d/m/w) - AIRBUS (Engineer - Aerospace Engineering)

As a Systems & Tooling Engineer (d/w/m), you will be part of a team that contributes decisively to the development and optimization of technical systems and tools. Your main responsibilities in this role include:

• the holistic support and further development of the software development platform in the avionics environment over the entire lifecycle (Plan, Build, Operate)
• the automation and operation of the development infrastructure, including configuration, packaging, deployment, as well as the conception and administration of server landscapes
• the conception and management of the tool and license landscape, including a central tool and license database, license management, monitoring, as well as cost and procurement control.
• the analysis, optimization, and further development of development processes, including software design, requirements, and problem management processes (e.g., with JIRA)
• technical error analysis and sustainable problem solving in complex development environments as well as the management of external service providers to ensure a high-performance tool landscape
• support in the introduction of innovative engineering solutions, particularly the integration of AI-supported tools and the continuous optimization of software development processes

REQUIREMENTS:

To be successful as a Systems & Tooling Engineer (d/w/m), you need a combination of technical know-how, problem-solving-oriented thinking, and communication skills.

Ideally, you bring the following:

• a completed degree in the field of computer science
• experience in the automation of infrastructure processes (Infrastructure as Code/Scripting) and in software packaging
• experience in the operation and configuration of development systems as well as in the field of system and network technology (server operation, license servers)
• confident handling of relational databases (SQL) for modeling complex data structures (licenses, costs, assets)
• proficient use of workflow management tools (esp. JIRA) for process design
• business fluent English skills
