Stress Engineer (m/f/d) - Airframe & System Development AIRBUS (Calculation Engineer)

As an experienced Stress Engineer (m/f/d) in the field of Airframe and System Development, a challenging role awaits you in which your skills in the structural analysis of aircraft components are in demand. Based on design specifications and development goals, you will contribute to developing innovative solutions to ensure the structural integrity of aircraft parts.

Your Tasks:

• design calculations according to manual methodology and using FEM (linear and non-linear)
• the creation and approval of verification reports for static strength and Fatigue
• the creation of test programs and test orders as well as the supervision of tests
• the verification of service lives, inspection and maintenance intervals
• structural analyses/strength calculations during the various development phases, from concept to detailed design, with the goal of an optimized design in terms of strength, service life, weight and cost
• support during certification processes, e.g., entering verification documentation into the certification database (Nectar)
• processing of construction deviations including the definition of rework and repairs
• processing of customer service inquiries

REQUIREMENTS:

For the role of Stress Engineer (m/f/d), you bring a strong combination of technical expertise and analytical thinking.

Your Qualification:

• a completed degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a similar technical field
• at least over 3 years of professional experience in the areas of: Development, Aerospace and Stress Engineering
• several years of practical experience in the field of Statics and Fatigue in the aerospace sector
• work experience in an international and multicultural environment
• experience in the verification and certification process of CS 27/29
• very good knowledge in the pre-dimensioning and dimensioning of subsystems/components (metals and composite materials)
• in-depth knowledge of lin. /non lin. FEM methods (Hyperworks, NASTRAN, Optistruct)
• basic experience with Python or similar
• business fluent English skills
