Manufacturing Engineer

Analyzes established engineering principles to determine the sequence of steps or processes necessary to manufacture and assemble products that meet the organization's quality and cost standards. Analyzes product specifications, part drawings, and other engineering data.

Responsibilities/Skills.

• Require tooling based on Industrial/Cutting Eng. calculations, such as dies, fixtures, special equipment, presses, cutters.
• Ensure the preparation of the BOM is carried out, request the setup of new components from item master, and with the assistant's collaboration, identify changes to see which blocks will be required.
• Ensure the release of electrical test and assembly machines.
• Ensure that improvements found during first piece validation are updated in the Oracle system as well as documented to know the effectiveness of the BOM preparation.
• Perform measurements of BOM accuracy.
• Ensure that process visual aids are generated, review daily programming to check if new part numbers have been added.
• Execute required engineering changes through deviations.
• Attend APQP meetings, ensure that issues are documented.
• Conduct new part incorporation and/or revision change meetings.
• Review that equipment arrival dates are met; if there is any setback, ensure it is documented in the APQP.
• Coordinate with Imp/exp to ensure the finished product classification for export is available.
• Coordinate with Program Engineering the setup of new components and ensure they are not used in the plant by the purchasing department (raw material).
• Ensure that the ramp up /ramp down and time chart of projects seen through APQP are published.
• Assist the production department in the preparation of prototypes, ensuring that new components are available/ordered for their construction.
• Coordinate project RFAs.
• Preparation of fixed asset inventory in coordination with the plant asset manager.
• Verification and approval of masters, prototypes, and PPAPs. Updating databases for components.
• Comply with and ensure compliance with the Environment, Health and Safety Policy and the Energy Policy of PKC Group.
• Comply with environmental, safety, health, and energy requirements set forth in Federal, State, and Municipal legislation and applicable regulations related to our activities and products to comply with the EMASS (Energy, Environment, Health and Safety) procedures inherent to your job position.
• Contribute to the effectiveness of the Energy, Environment, Health and Safety Management System, including the achievement of EMASS Objectives and Goals.

Required Profile.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering
• 3 to 5 years of experience.

• Knowledge for harness manufacturing preferably

Requirements

• Minimum education: Higher education - Bachelor's Degree
