The Senior Geotechnical Engineer will be responsible for leading geotechnical investigations, analyses, and design for a variety of projects, including infrastructure, buildings, dams, tunnels, and other civil engineering works. The role involves project management, technical leadership, and mentoring junior staff while ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards. Key Responsibilities Project Management : Lead and manage geotechnical engineering projects, ensuring timely delivery within budget and scope. Develop and manage field programs, including health and safety plans, and ensure compliance with project specifications. Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and stakeholders.

Technical Expertise : Conduct geotechnical investigations, including borehole drilling, sampling, and field testing (e.g., CPT, PLT, SPT). Perform advanced geotechnical analyses, such as slope stability, settlement assessments, foundation design, and liquefaction evaluations. Develop geotechnical design parameters and prepare interpretive reports, including Geotechnical Interpretive Reports (GIRs) and Factual Reports.

Team Leadership : Mentor and train junior engineers and technical staff. Provide technical guidance and quality assurance for geotechnical reports and designs.

Field and Laboratory Work : Supervise field investigations and laboratory testing programs. Analyze and interpret field and laboratory test results for design and reporting purposes.

Client and Stakeholder Engagement : Participate in client meetings to discuss project requirements and present findings. Support proposal preparation and business development efforts.

Qualifications Education : Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering. Experience : Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in geotechnical engineering. Licenses/Certifications : Professional Engineer (PE) registration preferred. Technical Skills :Proficiency in geotechnical software (e.g., SLIDE, PLAXIS, gINT, GeoStudio).Strong knowledge of geotechnical investigation methods and design standards. Soft Skills :Excellent communication and report-writing skills.Strong project management and leadership abilities. Preferred Skills Experience in seismic site classification, dewatering design, and soil improvement techniques. Familiarity with regulatory standards and codes for geotechnical engineering. Ability to manage large-scale and complex projects independently.
