Assistant Manager, EDA Solutions

Reporting To Technical Sales Director / Business Unit Head Position Overview The Assistant Manager, EDA Solutions will be responsible for supporting semiconductor customers in the evaluation, deployment, and adoption of Electronic Design Automation (EDA) solutions. The role combines technical application support, project coordination, customer engagement, and business development activities across IC design, photonics, packaging, and advanced semiconductor technologies. This position is ideal for candidates with 1-5 years of experience in semiconductor design, EDA tools, CAD engineering, or technical customer support who aspire to develop into technical sales, applications engineering, or management roles. Key Responsibilities Customer Technical Support Support customers in the installation, licensing, and deployment of EDA software solutions. Provide first-level technical support and coordinate issue resolution with EDA vendors. Assist customers in design flow setup, tool evaluation, and technology adoption. Conduct troubleshooting and performance optimization of EDA environments. Application Engineering Support design flows covering: Digital IC Design Analog & Mixed-Signal Design Photonic IC Design Advanced Packaging Design Assist in preparing technical demonstrations, benchmarks, and proof-of-concept projects. Develop application notes, user guides, and technical documentation. Project Management Coordinate customer projects and technical engagements. Track project milestones, deliverables, and action items. Facilitate communication among customers, vendors, foundries, and internal stakeholders. Support tapeout and MPW project coordination activities where applicable. Business Development Support Support technical pre-sales activities alongside the sales team. Participate in customer meetings, workshops, seminars, and exhibitions. Assist in preparing proposals, quotations, and technical responses. Identify customer requirements and recommend suitable EDA solutions. Training & Enablement Conduct technical training for customers and partners. Organize webinars, workshops, and product demonstrations. Support university collaborations and academic training initiatives. Partner & Vendor Management Work closely with EDA partners including: Coordinate evaluations, licensing requests, and technical escalations. Requirements Bachelor's  Electrical Engineering Electronics Engineering Computer Engineering Semiconductor Engineering Photonics Engineering Experience 1 to 3 years of relevant semiconductor industry experience. Experience in EDA tools, IC design, CAD support, or applications engineering. Technical Knowledge Experience supporting technical sales activities. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Customer satisfaction and support response time. Successful EDA evaluations and deployment projects. Training sessions delivered. Customer engagement activities completed. Revenue opportunities supported. New customer accounts developed. Project milestones achieved on schedule.
