Controls Engineer III

Responsibilities

Design electrical hardware systems based on project requirements, including electrical schematics, control panel layouts, and device selection.

Develop PLC and HMI applications based on system descriptions and functional requirements with a strong focus on Siemens platforms.

Configure PLC hardware and industrial communication networks including PROFINET, PROFIBUS, AS-i, CAN, Ethernet, and other industrial protocols.

Develop PLC safety programs (Siemens Distributed Safety/F-PLCs).

Configure, commission, and start-up of VFDs.

Perform pre-commissioning, commissioning, start-up, and on-site standby support.

Support system testing and functional validation to ensure the control system meets project requirements.

Develop SCADA applications for monitoring and controlling system components and processes.

Motion control experience.

Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.

3-4 years of experience in control systems design and implementation, with a strong emphasis on PLC programming.

Must have B1/B2 USA / Canada visa.

Proficiency in Siemens and Allen Bradley PLCs is required; experience with other PLC systems is a plus.

Strong understanding of industrial communication networks (Profibus, Profinet, Ethernet/IP, etc.).

Experience with CAD software tools for control system design (AutoCAD, EPlan, etc.).

Proven experience in project management and ability to lead teams.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with clients and team members.

A background in food and beverage or manufacturing sectors is preferred.
