MEP BIM Engineer

Key Responsibilities Develop and manage detailed MEP BIM models for HVAC, Plumbing, and/or Fire Fighting systems.

Prepare and review BIM models, shop drawings, layouts, coordinated MEP drawings, and technical documentation .

Perform multidisciplinary coordination between MEP systems, Architectural, Structural, and Electrical disciplines.

Identify, review, and resolve clashes and coordination issues using BIM coordination tools.

Participate in BIM coordination meetings and provide technical solutions to modeling and coordination issues.

Review design changes and update BIM models accordingly.

Support the engineering team during design development, construction, and project delivery stages .

Coordinate with MEP Engineers, Designers, Architects, Site/Construction teams, and other project stakeholders.

Coordinate with site teams to resolve installation, constructability, and coordination issues .

Maintain BIM model quality, accuracy, consistency, and data integrity throughout the project lifecycle.

Ensure compliance with project BIM standards, BIM Execution Plans (BEP), naming conventions, LOD requirements, model organization, and documentation standards .

Create and manage Revit families, templates, and BIM content as required.

Prepare and update IFC, shop drawing, and as-built models/deliverables where applicable.

Extract quantities, schedules, and model-based information from BIM models when required.

Incorporate site changes and as-built information into BIM models.

Ensure BIM models comply with project specifications, design requirements, applicable standards, and client requirements.

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Architectural Engineering, or related field .

5–7 years of experience in MEP BIM engineering/modeling.

Strong hands-on experience in HVAC, Plumbing, and/or Fire Fighting .

Strong knowledge of Revit MEP, Navisworks Manage, and AutoCAD .

Experience in MEP coordination, clash detection, and multidisciplinary coordination .

Experience with BIM Execution Plans (BEP), LOD requirements, BIM standards, and project specifications .

Experience creating Revit families and producing shop drawings, IFC, and as-built deliverables .

Ability to extract quantities and schedules from BIM models.

Experience coordinating with site/construction teams and resolving constructability issues.

Experience working on multidisciplinary engineering/construction projects ; consultancy or EPC experience is a plus.

Knowledge of BIM 360 / Autodesk Construction Cloud and international BIM standards is an advantage.

Strong technical, problem-solving, coordination, and communication skills .
