Senior Purchase Ledger

Adele Carr Recruitment are delighted to be working with a well-established and growing business to recruit a Senior Purchase Ledger Officer to join their finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced transactional finance professional who enjoys taking ownership, working across multiple areas of finance and supporting the wider business.

The Role

As Senior Purchase Ledger Officer, you will play a key role within the finance function, overseeing day-to-day transactional finance activities across multiple branches. You will work closely with branch management teams, suppliers, customers and the wider finance team to ensure processes are accurate, efficient and well controlled.

Key Responsibilities

• Day-to-day input and processing across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and banking activities across three branches.
• Processing purchase orders, resolving queries and accurately matching POs to invoices.
• Supporting the management of Accounts Receivable and the company debt policy, including escalation through to legal claims where required.
• Resolving supplier and customer queries promptly and effectively.
• Providing financial support and guidance to branch management teams.
• Ensuring consistent financial processes and controls are maintained across all locations.
• Supporting the management of financial risk and maintaining robust internal controls.
• Developing a strong understanding of stock control and inventory management systems.
• Processing international payments accurately and in line with relevant regulations.
• Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs and support business growth.

About You

• Proven experience within transactional finance and accounting operations.
• Strong experience across Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable .
• Experience handling banking and cash processes.
• Previous supervisory experience would be highly desirable.
• A good understanding of financial controls, budgeting and audit processes.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
