Location: Ealing, W5 2HL (Full-time office based) Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday Pay Rate: £22.02 PAYE / £28.71 Umbrella Contract: 3 months initially, with possible extension Start Date: ASAP

We are currently recruiting for a Technical Repairs Support Officer to join a busy Housing Repairs team within a London Local Authority. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with housing repairs knowledge, strong customer service skills, and contact centre experience to play a key role in supporting residents and coordinating responsive repair services.

The role is based on site in Ealing and involves providing a technically informed service to residents reporting housing repairs, accurately diagnosing repair issues, and ensuring repairs are allocated to the appropriate contractors.

Key Responsibilities Diagnose and identify housing repair issues through effective questioning and technical knowledge. Raise, record and allocate repair jobs to relevant contractors and technical teams. Monitor repairs and contractor performance to ensure work is completed within agreed timescales. Manage work in progress and support repairs administration. Maintain accurate records using housing management, IT and telephony systems. Communicate effectively with residents, providing updates and clear explanations regarding repair issues and processes. Support complaint resolution and contribute to a high-quality customer experience. Carry out data reconciliation and maintain accurate service records.

Essential Requirements Housing repairs diagnostics experience Contact centre/customer contact experience Excellent customer service and communication skills Ability to explain technical information in a clear and straightforward manner Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Experience using IT systems to record and manage cases Ability to prioritise workload in a fast-paced environment Experience working within housing, repairs, property maintenance, local authority or contractor environments is highly desirable.
