Senior SEND Coordinator

Children's Services Programme Lead £30,000 - £35,000 | Permanent | Full-Time

An exciting opportunity has arisen with a well-established organisation delivering specialist services that support children, young people and families across the community.

We are seeking an experienced coordinator or team leader to oversee the day-to-day operation of a range of inclusive activities, ensuring participants receive engaging, safe and meaningful experiences while supporting the development of a dedicated frontline team.

About the Role

This position combines operational leadership, programme coordination and direct service oversight. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring activities run smoothly, services remain well organised, and children and young people receive the tailored support they need to thrive.

You will work closely with families, partner agencies and internal teams, managing participation, service quality and workforce performance while helping shape and develop future provision.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the planning and delivery of a varied schedule of community-based activities and programmes.
• Lead, supervise and develop a multi-disciplinary team of frontline practitioners and volunteers.
• Ensure individual support requirements are understood, recorded and implemented effectively.
• Monitor service performance, occupancy levels and resource allocation.
• Build positive working relationships with families, education providers and external professionals.
• Support workforce development through coaching, training and performance management.
• Ensure services operate safely, effectively and in line with organisational standards.
• Contribute to service growth, quality improvement initiatives and community engagement activities.
• Maintain accurate records and reporting to demonstrate service outcomes and impact.
• Act as a key point of contact for operational matters and complex situations as they arise.

About You
